HIFU
What is HIFU ?
High Intensity focused Ultrasound. The advantages of Hifu are that the technology bypasses the surface of the skin and delivers the right amount of ultrasound energy at the right depth and right temperatures unlike laser , radio frequency. This triggers a natural response to restart the wound healing process and produce more collagen. The treatment is non invasive and surgery free meaning you can have this treatment done during a lunch break without any downtime. The results are long lasting and will continue to tighten the skin over a period of 12 weeks. This treatment is great for sagging skin and is a preventative treatment to slow down the ageing process. Hifu can treat all skin types as it is not laser and doesn’t target melanin in the skin. 1-6 Fitzpatrick can be treated.
What are the risks?
The risks of Hifu treatment are during the treatment it can feel like electric shocks and after the treatment can feel like a punch to the face. This can last 2 days upto 2 weeks. Erythema and swelling is normal after the treatment and is a good thing as you are bringing blood and stimulation to the skin but you just need to let your clients know. Nerve effects which can last 2-6 weeks.
How many sessions ?
The amount of treatment depend on the client. You can do this treatment three times a year with a space of 12 weeks inbetween each treatment. If the skin is slack you may need to do 1.5mm to start to thicken the skin then have deeper treatments. This treatment can last upto 1-2 years again depending on the clients skin. Maintenance of radio frequency or laser will help if the client can’t afford more then once a year.
LASER HAIR REDUCTION
Our customers are always happy with results we achieve and we like to be honest with you.
The difference between Diode Laser and IPL. Diode Laser is direct with heat and it goes deeper in the skin then IPL. This doesn’t mean you get a better result with Laser and studies show you get the same result from IPL or diode. I suggest alternating machine to see which laser suit you better. The treatment is quick with both machines as they both have cooling handles which makes the treatment faster. Can range from 5 minutes to 1 hour depending on what areas being treated.
Most people are suitable but clients with blonde or ginger hair it probably won’t work as you need the root to be darker then the skin tone. Again if client’s skin tone is too dark I suggest having a patch test with Yagg laser which we do not provide at the clinic.
When having hair removal treatment you need to be realistic with results. Certain areas will need more treatments then others. So you many need more then 6 sessions. This is more likely a taster into hair removal and further sessions are required to get the best out of your treatment. No guarantee on results!
Once you start Laser/IPL you need to stick with it. You can not go back to waxing as this may stimulate the hairs to grow back again, this will undo everything the laser achieved. Shaving is the only option after treatment. If the hair is fine after courses don’t shave it as shaving will make it blunter which will make it seem thicker.
If you do not want to shave certain areas maybe Laser isn’t the option for you.
Remember also that this treatment is a reduction not 100% removal. You more then likely going to have upto 80% reduction in hair growth. Different results all depend on the area, ethic background , hormones , menopause , pregnancy and medication. No Laser / IPL is permanent so if you are not willing to invests into the treatment I suggest going another route.
Top up sessions are required ! Again this depends on the person and area so you may need to come back in 3-6months for further top up session. This can range from 1-6 sessions. Some clients can get longer again depends on the client.
You need to be consistent with treatment when you start Laser/IPL. You cannot have 3 month gaps in between sessions when your starting your treatment. There must be a 3-6 weeks gap (depending on area) you want to make sure the treatment is repetitively traumatising the hair follicles when it is attached to the blood supply. Once the growth has slowed down then you can have bigger gaps in between session but your technician will advise.
MICRODERMABRASION
Microdermabrasion . Also known as dermabrasion, micro , derma this is an noninvasive, skin resurfacing procedure that gently exfoliates or polishes away the top layer of dead skin cells, while stimulating collagen growth, to reveal healthy new skin that looks and feels smoother.

LED MASK

LED therapy penetrates the skin to treat issues from the inside out.It is suitable for all skin types and can be used in combination with skin peels, facials, Microdermabrasion and laser treatments to enhance results.
How often should i have this done?
This can be done as a one off with a facial treatment to boost the skin. However for results it is advised to use 3 times per week in a course for 6-8wks.Is it pain free?
YES, the client wont feel anything other than relaxed.
What age can be treated?
Typically over 16yrs of age, however you can treat earlier with parent’s consent.
What is the correct aftercare?
There is no downtime with this treatment. General aftercare for facials advice given with a note for clients to ensure they wear sun factor.
How soon can I expect results?
This all depends on the commitment the client makes to the facials & how frequently they are having the treatment. Of course the skin will appear improved after a facial with LED however for real results a course is needed & maintenance
SUPERFICIAL CHEMICAL PEELS
Chemical Peel date back to Egyptian times where Cleopatra used to use fermented milk all over her body. Nowadays the treatment has changed , in the sense there is more on offer for your skin type. There are different peels for different skin types and the times vary from peel and strength, meaning some treatments may take 20 mins upto 30/35 mins. Sometimes this peel is called the lunchtime peel as after the treatment your downtown is very minimal. You usually notice more on day 3 as the skin might go flakey and dry.
AFTERCARE FOR AESTHETICS
PREPARATION & AFTERCARE
Laser Hair Removal
Prior to each treatment the hair should be shaved or trimmed from the surface of the skin. After the treatment the hair will appear to still be growing. It is in fact shedding and this process can take up to three weeks but do not be alarmed if you don't notice this happening, as not everyone does. Only shaving and trimming in the meantime is possible. The hair re-growth should slow down and may be patchy when it does return. Some re-growth may appear to worsen; in fact the growth cyle has become synchronised, which is highly desirable as subsequent treatments will be even more effective.
RED VEIN REMOVAL, SKIN REJUVENATION, PIGMENTATION
If having IPL or Laser, the skin may experience some trauma, redness; slight swelling, bruising/blistering and pigmentation may appear darker. Symptoms for all procedures will normally subside within 2Hrs- 4 weeks. The area should be kept dry and only recommended products should be applied. Makeup should not be used directly over the area for at least 24-48 hours.
